Hi, I'm Alessandra and I rent a single room for a student in via Reggio, in Turin. I am Italian-Brazilian so I tried to furnish my house with the colors and warmth of Brazil
Here you will immediately feel at home! I speak fluent English, French and Portuguese.
Below, I will try to tell you all the informations you need, to help you understand if the accommodation I have to offer you is what you are looking for and if it fits to your needs. I'll try to tell you everything and I'm sure that with a bit of imagination, through this "virtual tour", you'll be looking forward to move here ;-) Get comfortable and let's get started!
THE AREA
The apartment is located a stone's throw from the city center, in Borgo Rossini, one of the most beautiful districts of Turin for young people, very close to Palazzo Einaudi (5 minutes walking) Palazzo nuovo University (10 minutes walking), Piazza Valdo Fusi (20 minutes walking) and about 35 minutes by bus from Politecnico.
If you like jogging and physical activity in the open air this is the ideal position! Two blocks from the house flows the Dora river with a beautiful cycle and pedestrian path up to the Colletta park (20 minutes on foot).
In the neighborhood there is a supermarket very close by and various shops and services of all kinds.
A 15-minute walk away you can go shopping at the Porta Palazzo market, the largest open market in Europe with the possibility to buy at the cheapest prices organic vegetables and local products.
THE ROOM
The room is spacious (it's about 12 square meters), very bright and fully furnished with everything you need. Inside you have: - a huge and comfortable double bed, a nice wardrobe with a mirror, - a table with a chair. The flat is very well oriented, so your room is "kissed by the sun" all day long from the big bright window. Everything is ready for you and you have everything to feel at home. The bed has an orthopedic mattress and comfortable pillows to allow you to sleep as comfortably as possible.
Your room is only for you!You can host a relative or a friend, after authorization, with an extra fee 15 euros per night.
THE APARTMENT
Your room is located in an apartment of about 75 square meters in total, on the 4th floor (with elevator) of a peacefull condo, relly close to Palazzo Einaudi. In total there are 2 room (one for you and one for another tenant), 1 bathroom furnished with sink, wc, bidet, shower and an equipped kitchen.
THE BUILDING The condo is very quiet and peaceful. It is inhabited mainly by families, young workers and students.
Piedmontese are usually quiet and reserved people, so you will not hear any noise or disturbance. If when you're at home you have to study and concentrate or want to relax a bit, you're in the right place!
It is also important that you respect the other neighboors so no parties are allowed in the house.
COSTS
The rent fee is 595 euros per month including all the costs (electricity, water, heater, rubbish tax, elevator, condo mantainance, ultra fast wi fi and common area cleaning service twice a month, ensurance).
It is NOT INCLUDED so you WILL PAY APART the registration of the rent contract (around 120 euros).
At the end of your stay, a balance of expenses will be made.
RULES OF THE HOUSE, CONTRACT AND BORING STAFF
- Cleaning service The common areas cleaning service is managed by Nicoletta our Housekeeper, who comes every two weeks to clean and tidy up the house
-Nicoletta doesn't clean your room so It Is your responsability to keep It tidy and clean
- Contract The type of contract we sign and the cost of its registration vary according to your stay, that we can certainly discuss before you arrive. Normally, I sign a "Contratto Transitorio per motivi di Studio o di Lavoro" (the specific contract for students provided by our Italian Law), with a maximum duration of 18 months. The cost of the registration depends by the duration and it is mandatory by law and will be around 120 euros.
To let you understand how everything can happen, here is the example of Clara : Clara is an english student who comes to study at the Palazzo Nuovo di Torino for 6 months. After some messages between me and her, Clara books her room. After that, we send each other some informations with all I need in order to make all the bureaucracy (ID, Visa/Residence Permit, Codice Fiscale and the payment of the Deposit). As she arrives, after showing her room, we sign the contract that I already prepared (2 copies: one for her and one for me) By booking on Housing Anywher(hidden)ra already payed the first monthly fee to the website, so for the first month she just pays the contract registration cost (around 120 euros). From the second month, Clara will pay the normal monthly fee.
I apologize for the long text, but I hope to be helpful in telling you everything you need to know about the room, the neighborhood and the managing, so you can have all the information you need to decide where to live for the next few months, without having unpleasant surprises once you're here in Turin. I know how it feels to start an adventure in a new city: there is so much excitement, but there are also many doubts and its often hard to find someone who, from distance, can help us to take all the right steps and get them done serenely. That's why my goal is to make you feel at home, even before your check-in, trying to let your stay in Turin as pleasant as possible. If you have any doubt or questions, please, just text me, I'm at your disposal and I will be happy to help you in any way possible :-) I wish you all the best!
Please be aware that Housing Anywhere is an online booking platform. Therefore exchanging contact details and offering viewings is not possible. If you would like to reserve the room, send me a booking request or a message and please mention your age and occupation. I look forward to meeting you!
